If you hold sealed Pokemon TCG product as an investment, this is the section of PMW that matters most to you. It exists to surface three things daily:

Cycle-phase classification on every tracked set

Each Japanese sealed set is classified into one of four cycle phases: Phase 1 (pre-launch lottery), Phase 2 (launch hype, 200-300% MSRP secondary), Phase 3 (reprint trough, 80-150% MSRP, accumulation candidates), Phase 4 (zetsuban climb, out of print, compounding upward).

The classification updates monthly. Phase transitions are flagged in the daily brief on the day they occur. The full set list lives on the Print Run Timeline page.

JP-to-US lag windows per set

For every Japanese set with a US equivalent, PMW publishes the historical lag window (typically 30 to 100 days for set releases, 4 to 6 months for pack-price hike effects) and the predicted US-side timing for the next inflection.

Reprint announcement alerts

When a Japanese set's reprint cycle changes, PMW's daily brief publishes the move within hours. The dataset comes from our scraper of pokemon-card.com official announcements plus specialized Japanese Twitter accounts.

What's coming next

The Sealed Investors Dashboard becomes a dedicated landing surface in July 2026 with the launch of the Japan Index and Delta Tracker tools. Until then, the daily brief carries the most relevant signal for this audience.
